Amoeba: More Than A Funky Music Store

Amoeba Music is a sonic and visual landscape that stimulates the senses as soon as you enter the store. Music from the store's sound system fills the warehouse-sized space with an eclectic mix of sounds chosen by the just as eclectic staff. The physical space is as exciting as the ubiquitous music mix. The walls are filled with posters bearing homage to rock stars, iconic movies and music legends. Music lovers immersed in this landscape search the bins with the anticipation of discovering that obscure CD, well-loved song, new band, or out of print DVD. Amoeba Music is the place where an eclectic mix of people, music, and images intersect to produce an unforgettable landscape.

Amoeba Music — Like Daniel Djang

Amoeba Music is known as "the World's Largest Independent Record Store," but if you're a music fan, it's simply a dream come true. Enter the massive store, get your bearings, and decide where to begin exploring the astounding inventory. Hours later you're happily lost, still browsing millions of titles alongside other aficionados. Dig through the vinyl bins, and you might score a rare collectible someone unknowingly sold. If you're into jazz, don't miss the back room, practically a store by itself. Movie buff? Head upstairs and there's a DVD section just for you. As you're waiting to check out, a vintage concert poster catches your eye, one last discovery to add to your overflowing basket.
