I love photography and travel. They go great together and this is the perfect place for them both.

Entering the Palmerton Arboretum, you will immediately feel the relaxed atmosphere as you walk beneath the trees, the overwhelming beauty all around quickly overtaking you as you're drawn into this special park. There are many species of manicured, flowering trees and plants to appreciate here, with a number of large, daisy-dotted lawns for picnics, a children's playground, and a lovely pond as well. Arriving at the center of this compact and satisfying arboretum, you will come to a stop, with mouth agape, at the one tree here which is unlike any other, and it draws everyone's attention like a magnet. Seemingly crafted by Dr. Seuss himself, the tall Monkey Puzzle (Chilean Pine) tree's branches curl and wind in all directions, and every inch of this plant is bristling with spines. It is an unforgettable wonder to see, and all who walk to the center of the Palmerton Arboretum will stop to stare in fascination at this incredible tree.
