The blue letters facing the foothills on the side of the building read : The Pasadena Playhouse. Once on El Molino Avenue the Playhouse District comes alive with coffeehouses, bookstores and movie theaters. This is art; it breathes here. At the foot of the entrance to the Playhouse there is a small courtyard. At night there are strings of lights above that illuminate this spot. Sometimes in the shadows of those lights you may catch a glimpse of the ghosts of theater's past- the actors who have long gone and died away. They have left their legacy here in the Eastern part of Pasadena.
