  While perusing through Killens Pond I stumbled upon a plethora of wild life. Among them a family of three deer, several wild bunnies, and three playful and spunky red foxes. I watched them frolicking and pouncing on one another until dusk and it was park closing time. The pups seemed just as intrigued in with me as I was with them. Stalking closer to their den, but not too close, they showed their photogenic skills and posed! A quiet nature reserve with much to be explored and appreciated. There are so many opportunities at Killens Pond to stop and enjoy the simple, yet most profound things.

  Dusk is the best time to catch a glimpse of wildlife in Killens Pond State Park. During this time the usually obscured inhabitants come out to feed and let their young play. Killens Pond offers many species of wildlife including: deer, red fox, wild rabbits, and estuary birds. There are also several trails, a recreational volleyball area, and even a waterpark! The park is very dynamic and offers something for everyone and all ages.
