Frolicking With Baby Tigers in Bandon, Oregon

As with any adventure, there’s a moment at West Coast Game Park where you ask yourself, "Is this such a good idea?" A slightly makeshift roadside attraction south of Bandon, Oregon, the park is also a breeding facility for big cats and other exotic animals. Enter a musky-smelling, sawdust-strewn enclosure, and suddenly a handler is shoving an outsized baby bottle into your hand and a real live Bengal tiger kitten is squirming around on your lap. Small children wait their turn, surrounded by herds of goats and deer. You have to give this place credit for helping to protect endangered predators, and not overprotecting the humans.

If you could take just one photo: West Coast Game Park Safari

Imagine wandering through a walk-through wild life safari where you can purchase snacks to feed to the deer, goats, peacock and wallabies’. Now that's just the silly stuff. Get within three feet of bear, tigers, panthers, camel and many other amazing animals. So close and personal to the tigers that you can smell their fur. Wander through this amazingly well kept Wildlife Park and then listen carefully for the hourly announcements. Every hour on the hour you don't want to miss your chance to hold and play with their five week old black spotted leopards! After spending a great deal of time at the wild life safari, make sure you wander down the road experience old town Bandon on the waterfront. This is a great family experience!
