Sliding Over Powdery Bumps in Vail, Colorado
Spanning over 5,000 acres, crowds aren’t much of an issue at Vail if you know where to go and when to get there. When the snow flies, hit the slopes early and head up Golden Peak’s Riva Bahn Express. Once you reach the summit, you’ll be going non-stop all day. At the top of Northwoods Express, charge down Forever into Sun Down Bowl, a favorite of Vail legend, Pepi Gramshammer. After your legs are burning drink in a view of the Back Bowls and slide onto the powdery bumps of Milt’s Face in Sun Up Bowl. For more freshies, keep moving farther away from the front side, drop the cornice on Genghis Khan into China Bowl, and enjoy Blue Sky Basin’s 645 acres, including a local favorite, Lover’s Leap. Park in East Vail or West Vail and hop on the bus so you don't have to pay at the structure.
