Kicking Back at Coppola's Rustic Getaway in Belize
Lazily stretch your sun-warmed muscles, pull yourself up off of your cushy lounge chair, amble across the white sand beach, and slip into the turquoise Caribbean at Francis Ford Coppola's Turtle Inn in the remote beach town of Placencia, Belize. While there are less "Hollywood" places to stay, Coppola has created a tranquil, lovely destination. You are at least guaranteed access to meals made with fresh fish and produce—aggravatingly hard to find in this coastal Central American country, though not surprisingly, considering its 100-year occupation by one of the world's most egregious bland food offenders, Great Britain.
