Doling Out Tummy Raspberries to Baby Tigers in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Cat hair! “Yuck,” you say? Well, the cat hair you’ll find here is from baby tigers, and if your shirt is covered in this stuff, you’ll never wash it again. Yeah, there’s an on-site restaurant at Tiger Kingdom that you are, ahem, encouraged to patronize. You won’t mind, of course, because you’ll be staring at tigers over your silverware. Lots and lots of tigers. Tigers splashing in pools, tigers playing in trees, tigers rolling on the grass. And then they let you in. You start in the tiger nursery, where you cuddle a lapful of them. When the keepers manage to tear you away, you (if you’re brave) can hang out with their older siblings, sprawled out on the fragrant tropical grass, holding a tiger’s “hand.” Bring on the cat hair.
