Enjoying a Pint at Church in Dublin, Ireland
Ever tour a stunning 16th-century cathedral and think "Jeez, this place could really use a bar." The Church Bar on Jarvis Street will answer that prayer for you. The renovation of the former St. Mary's Church is actually surprisingly tasteful. The two story space is light-filled, airy and equipped with obligatory stained glass windows, organs, and intricate stonework. However, if you're still not comfortable with perhaps getting a little shameless in a former house of God...don't worry, The Church also offers great cappuccinos and lovely meals. So go to Church on Sunday (or Friday/Saturday night when there's a DJ spinning), and be sure to check out the unisex bathrooms.
