Shooting the Tube in Salt Lake City, Utah
You peer at the tiny dot of light at the other end of the culvert tunnel, while two of your buddies hold a sheet of plywood against the graffiti-splattered wall behind you to dam the water. Clutch the sides of your plastic sled as the sounds of splashing water echo through the tube menacingly. "Ready?" your friend shouts. There's no time to answer before a huge wall of water sends you barreling towards the circle of light. The circle gets bigger and bigger, and before your eyes can adjust to the brightness, you shoot out of the tube into the rocky pool below. Adrenaline surging, you manage to climb out of the stream unscathed, aside from some scratches and a nose full of water. You carefully make your way back up the tunnel, shouting gleefully to your friends as eight lanes of I-215 traffic roar above you.
