Digging Through Oldies but Goodies in Strasburg, Virginia
For those who worship at the altar of antiques, make your way to the 60,000 square foot Strasburg Antiques Emporium where over 100 dealers hawk their wares in an old silk factory. Find everything from furniture, fine art and estate jewelry to 19th-century kitchen gadgets and discarded wedding dresses. The emporium is the largest antiques collection in the state and trumps the many other shops of its kind in Strasburg, known as the Antiques Capital of Virginia. A recent visit turned up a Victorian-era costume trunk, Tiffany’s hand-cut stemware, two glass Fenston Coinspot pitchers and vintage milk bottles.
