Saddling Up for a Trail Ride Back in Time in Cave Creek, Arizona

Tired of the 21st century? The Old West is just a trail ride away at Spur Cross Stable. Saddled up on a sturdy steed, your body eventually finds the rolling rhythm of its walking pace and the relaxing effects of this old-fashioned mode of travel will start to seep in. With the backdrop of the unspoiled desert landscape of the conservation area, you can't help but cast yourself as a character in a classic Western. Close by, stately saguaro cactus stretch their arms wide, while in the distance, rolling ranges of rose-colored rock fade into the pale sky. Your tour guide tells tall tales of this area’s mining and ranching history. To make a weekend of it, spend the night in the well-maintained campground at nearby Cave Creek Regional Park. As you sit around the campfire, you’ll feel like a true cowboy sharing memories of the day’s ride.
