Luxuriating in a Wine Villa Built With Mouse Money in Napa Valley, CA
The first wave of explosive growth in Napa Valley was in the 1980s. Silverado Vineyards is Disney money put to glamorous use in this Italianate "villa" that overlooks prime Napa valley floor real estate instead of a lake in Northern Italy. Grand is an insufficient term to describe the opulent tasteful detail and materials that surround visitors. Think about the Mouse Empire and it all fits in place. Silverado makes wonderful Napa cabernet however this experience is about late-20th-century Napa Valley history. Be sure to check out the 19th-century carriage below the tasting room.
