Over-the-top marine-animal theme park that not only makes an effort to overstimulate kids and get their parents wet, but also educate the general public on marine conservation.

I'm a San Diego local, and my heart still races like a kid every time I take my own kids back to Sea World. I have memories of my Mom working at the long-forgotten Marine Land back in the seventies. My favorite thing to visit there was the dolphin exhibit. At Sea World, it still is. I could spend hours watching these beautiful creatures just going through the motions of their aquatic day. Never mind the amazing tricks that earn them fish; the high jumps and loop-de-loops and swimming with the trainer on their back, etc. All of that is great, especially if you've never or seldom seen dolphins up close. What I love most is the gleam in their uber intelligent eyes when they cast a sidelong glance at the crowd, and splash their tails so that suddenly a group of bystanders are drenched. I love standing by the trainer' splatform waiting for them to come close enough to pet their wet rubbery skin, and hear the clicks and coos emitted as a dolphin thank you.

This is the first place my kids and I go when we do Sea World. The rays glide up close enough to feed and pet, are wonderfully slimy, and no,they can't sting you. We spend a lot of time giving these guys love. Like big-headed alien creatures with little mouths, they are immediately endearing and seem to have a sense of humor (they randomly splash people). Petting the rays isn't on a par with, say, the overpriced dolphin encounter. But I think its an underrated pastime that should be explored by anyone who has an affinity for stealth-ray shaped sea animals.

San Diego's Sea World is one the world's most entertaining attraction parks. Why do I give Sea World a perfect 5/5 rating? What could be so magical about this park, that would not be found at the other majority parks? Well, I am not going give you all the answers. All you need to do, is visit what is on the inside of Sea World's walls! If I needed to describe California's Sea World in only one single word, I'd say MAGICAL!
