There are over 100 wineries in the area, but Santa Barbara Winery was the first. Marooned-stained oak barrels, used to ferment the wine, greet you as you walk into the winery; once inside, there are even more barrels. These are closed tight and are aging the winery’s reds and whites; feel free to ask the staff about these wines as you sit down for a tasting. As this is one of the more popular wineries in the area (thanks to solid pinot noirs, chardonnays, and syrahs, not to mention a location two blocks off the beach), you'll probably be joined by other eager samplers. Raise a glass, make new friends, and taste away.
