Doing Nothing (and Loving It) in Seychelles
A tiny green dot with a white-sand outline, just a few minutes' doggy-paddle from Praslin, Round Island is the sort of tropical paradise that you used to draw at school. Lush green foliage rises to a peak, semi-hiding traditional Creole-style villas, with gorgeous terraces and delicious, dip-worthy pools, which exude a uniquely tropical type of luxury. To stay on Round Island is to feel completely isolated from the world. Sure, you can see Praslin just a mile or so away, over a short stretch of brilliant-blue Indian Ocean, but even the laid-back tropical living it offers seems like hustle and bustle you can do without. On Round Island, you sleep when you're tired, eat delicious fresh seafood when you're hungry and swim when you get too hot.
