Although small, the Queens Zoo is a fun place to spend a relaxing weekend afternoon. It is a perfect spot early in the morning for photographers as the animals are always within viewing distance. The aviary is spectacular with a wide range of domestic and exotic birds that come right up to you for a photo. This zoo focused on animals found in North America and each plaque gives accurate and detailed information about each animal in the exhibit. The petting zoo area is a favorite among small children and all animals are tame and very friendly and eager to entertain. The goats and rabbits are an absolute riot. All in all the Queens zoo is definitely a great place and well worth the $9 ticket price.
