Getting Up Close and Personal With Venomous Snakes in Bangkok

Cobras, vipers, and kraits! Few people can experience getting near some of the most venomous snakes in the world without glass between them and feel safe. Meant to educate and entertain, your host at the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute and Snake Farm tells you about the snakes found in the Thailand region and a bit about their venomous bites. Meanwhile, snake wranglers pull the tails to distract the snakes from going after the audience, a mere 5-10 feet away. Two Siamese cobras hiss dangerously as the wrangler nonchalantly hassles them. Not to worry, the protective galoshes seem strong enough (you hope).
