Marveling at the Majestic Waterfalls in Plitvice, Croatia
Walking amongst the multitudes of majestic waterfalls at Plitvice National Park, you will feel like you’ve slipped into an unspoiled prehistoric past. Hundreds of streams of water, from tiny drips to powerful jets hundreds of feet high pour down into the lush vegetation all around you. Winding wooden walkways, viewing platforms and shuttle boats allow you to meander among the falls and admire the jewel toned lakes up close. You won’t run into any dinosaurs in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, but you might spot a frog, snake, or massive school of fish relaxing in the clear shallows.
