You could just as easily be in the South of France when you first spot the line of tall, spindly palms lining La Playa Boulevard, the main (and only) street leading to the ocean in tiny La Selva Beach. You might be further convinced when you spy the pots of lavender fronting the door of Patine, a charming eco-boutique tucked among the half dozen or so businesses in "downtown" La Selva. And wait till you enter this oh-so-Euro shop—the lush lavender fragrance will transport you to Provence, the antique French ticking pillows will make you exclaim "Oui!"...and the lacy antique nighties—ooh la-la!
