Embracing Bad Singing at the Outback Saloon in Boulder, Colorado
Living in Boulder, it doesn't take long to learn that the best place for cheap drinks and outrageously bad (i.e. amazing) karaoke is the Outback Saloon on 28th Street on Saturday nights. The mixture of flat beer, pool tables, cheese fries, sorority girls, unemployed middle-aged alcoholics, outgoing lesbians, and hippies (who bring their djembes onstage to sing Bob Marley) is just right. And if you're not brave enough to do karaoke, just watching the parade of pitiful parodies is fun enough.
