Browsing the Quirky Antique Shops in Orange, California
The old saying, that one man's trash is another's treasure, is true in the Old Towne section of Orange, California. The old stuff you tossed out years ago (vinyl LP records?) is probably selling briskly in any of the 50-plus antique shops here. If you want it kitschy, vintage, quaint, or just for sentimental amusement, it's on display and in high demand. Located at a "roundabout" intersection nicknamed The Circle (Chapman Avenue at Glassell Street) and stretching two blocks in all four directions, this old-California area has served as the background stage for several movies and commercials. All items are in excellent condition, including lamps, bottles, great-grandma's china, hats, pins, coins, toys, fobs, pickle castors (a what?), and yes, souvenir Worlds' Fair silver spoon sets. Depending upon demand and luck, some sell at high prices, and some at bargain rates.
