Finding Postcard Images of Fishing Piers in Newport Beach, CA
Conjure up images of Southern California beaches, and you might remember seeing postcards with photographs of silhouetted piers, taken at sunset. It's almost cliché, because there are many public piers, and it's where clear weather is the norm. But locals and tourists swarm to the two piers in Newport Beach during sunsets anyway, where they enjoy fishing, surfer-watching, seagull-feeding, and holding hands with loved ones. The carefree mood increases while the sun's reddish-orange disc sinks into the ocean. Jutting out several hundred feet into the ocean, these treasured landmarks are beacons to beachgoers.
