Opened in 1901 on Paris' Rue Royale, Boutique Fouquet was the shop of noted Art Nouveau jeweler Georges Fouquet. Fouquet collaborated frequently with his friend Alphonse Mucha, and the shop interior and exterior were designed by Mucha to harmonize with the exquisite Art Nouveau jewelry pieces created by Fouquet. In 1989, Musée Carnavalet reproduced the boutique in painstaking detail, to be the centerpiece of their extensive Art Nouveau collection. If you compare this exhibit to old photos and postcards, you'll find it's a precise replica.
