Communing With Witches at a B&B Getaway in Salem, Massachusetts
Sometimes you need to get away from your getaway. There’s plenty to do and see in Salem—all that history, and oh those witches—so much that you might find yourself longing to take a breather. Morning Glory Bed and Breakfast is just the place. The B&B itself is part of historic Salem (the house was built in the early 19th century), and embraces its surroundings: the four named rooms honor women hanged during the witch trials, and decorative plates in the dining room celebrate the age of sail. But the rest of the city seems far away when you’re sitting in the flower-filled garden area near the fountain or on the rooftop deck with its view of the harbor. If you’re lucky, innkeeper Bob, who is a Salem native, will join you. He has plenty of stories and recommendations for when you’re ready to get back to exploring.
