Becoming a Naturalist for a Day at the Arboretum in Chaska, MN
Those in need of some quality time with Mother Nature will find plenty of opportunities to bond at the 1000-acre grounds of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Wander around the primped gardens and along the shores of curious ponds and bogs, or head out on the three-mile drive that winds through hilly meadows and woods. Apple blossoms and lilacs fill the late-spring air with sweet perfume, followed by all the lushness and greenery of a Minnesota summer, and in autumn, blazing colors pop out in every direction. In their own words, the Arboretum is “a place for all seasons," so even when snow is on the ground there's still plenty going on, like the maple syrup harvest and pancake brunches in March, and exhibits all year long inside the visitor center.
