Monster trucks invaded the MetLife Stadium for the first time ever in June of 2012. Drivers opened up in the freestyle event, and took full use of the stadium floorspace, and air space. Linsey Weenks, in the Crusader, performed a full back-flip off a dirt pile, drawing a standing ovation from the crowd. Caught in mid-air, the truck hangs suspended over the field. It was my first experience viewing the performance live, and a chance decision to pick that seat positioned me in exactly the right spot for this photograph. The dust, fumes, roar of the engines, and the crowd, made it well worth while.
