Sauntering Up the Relaxed Streets of Marylebone in Central London
Get off the tube! Now! There’s so much more to see of London on foot, and you’ll be surprised how close together it all is. Often you can get from one stop to another quicker than it takes going down, along and back up again. Literally a couple of streets north of Liberty and the cramped 24-hour manic chaos of New Oxford Street lies Marylebone High Street, a tranquil smattering of artisan shops and restaurants and much more relaxed alternative to London’s most famous street. Halfway up lies a reason to visit alone – Le Fromagerie, a cheese shop of pungent distinction complete with chilling cheese room (only six at a time please), cured hams and Prosecco, and an excellent daily lunch taster menu.
