Discovering Banksy in Park City, Utah
Park City, the small-town annual host to the Sundance Film Festival, has an off-the-path, residual treat to be enjoyed year round. In 2010, Exit Through the Gift Shop premiered; an alternative documentary directed by the globally infamous graffiti artist, Banksy. Early January, in anticipation to that year's festival, five paintings by Banksy manifested around town overnight. One was almost immediately painted over by city authority, another was covered months later. A third was on the front door of the Egyptian Theater which they ultimately sold, saving the theater from bankruptcy; today only two remain. Focus on the south side of Java Cow and find time to sniff out the rat from Main St.
