Grinding With Sleep as an Afterthought in Louisville, Kentucky
In an era where skateboarding stigmas have severed the freedom of the sport, the Louisville Extreme Park provides aspiring professional skaters and bike-riders an unharnessed opportunity to practice their shackled trade. Open twenty-four hours a day and absent of supervision, the park's laid-back qualities closely reflect the subculture it caters to. Unfortunately, this paradise for the extreme could very well be headed for Fern Gully fate. The haven sits in the path of the proposed new design for the Kennedy Interchange -- the junction of interstates 64, 65, and 71. Skaters looking for laxity will have to gather all they can carry for now. Bureaucracy's bulldozer has leniency in its crosshairs, again.
