Unwinding on a Working Winery in Bordeaux, France
Part boutique hotel, part working winery, Le Relais de Franc Mayne is the oenophile's B&B of choice. Ensconced in seven acres of rolling green Bordeaux vineyards near Saint-Emilion, the hotel was built in classic 16th-century Girondine style. Its nine uniquely styled rooms feature hand-picked antiques and furnishings, its cavernous cellars are packed with barrels of Saint-Emilion from the grapes grown in the château's own vineyard, and the welcoming family-run feel ensures it's a boutique hotel to return to — whether for another tasting, or for the hot pink motifs of British Landscape, or the zebra print and elephant portraits of the safari-themed African Lodge. The hotel has something for all tastes, usually served by the glass.
