People-Watching on Belgrade’s Pedestrian Avenue in Serbia
Knez Mihailova, Belgrade’s main pedestrian street, is located in the very center of the city and is *the* best spot to meet up with a friend for coffee, walk around doing a bit of window shopping, and then kick back with some coffee or ice cream while watching the attractive and fashionable locals in their most natural environment. Street performers of all types rub elbows with families walking their dogs, business men on their lunch break, young people meeting with friends and planning their evenings, and the legendary lovely, leggy women of Belgrade strutting their stuff as if the street were a catwalk. When you are done, wander to the end of the street and check out the large, ancient, and lovely Kalamegdan Park, or, if nighttime has already fallen, simply explore any of the bars or clubs along what becomes one of the city’s many nightlife hotspots. If you only have a few hours to spend in Belgrade, Knez Mihailova is your first and main stop.
