Beholding the Birthplace of Hogwarts in Edinburgh, Scotland

Only in such an enchanting environment, amidst the gothic architecture of Edinburgh, could J.K. Rowling be inspired to write the beginnings of Harry Potter. Known as one of the places that the author frequented to complete her early novels, The Elephant Cafe is an absolute must. After choosing from an excellent selection of teas at the counter, saunter over to the back room and grab a table by the window. Then, look outside to take in the majesty of the fairytale Edinburgh Castle and ponder your own masterpiece.
