I found Hodges Gardens to be one of the very best and most interesting state parks I have have ever been to. I was completely surprized by the huge diversity of the Gardens. They not only maintain some really fantastic water features, but also have a great mix of trails, sculpture's, landmarks, a butterfly garden, a rose garden, a unique and interesting boat dock and an island centered in the lake. The eccentric history of the park and its founder is almost as entertaining as the beauty of the park itself. A trip here is truely a day well spent.
