Dining in Season at Hell’s Backbone Grill in Boulder, Utah
Located in one of the most remote towns in the US (Boulder, UT – population 180), Hell’s Backbone Grill is a nationally renowned restaurant dedicated to serving regional and sustainable cuisine. Dishes like the skillet-fried trout with blue corn, molasses, and pecans are a pleasant reprieve from the standard hamburgers and canned beans standard of rural Utah. Hell’s ever-changing seasonal menu is comprised of meat from local ranchers and produce grown on the restaurant’s own organic farm and orchards. Looking for a change of pace? Hell’s Backbone participates in the WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) program and offers up a teepee and three meals a day in exchange for volunteering on the farm.
