If you could take just one photo: Cowboy up in hidden tasting room

Galante Winery is located in the Cachagua Valley in the middle of the Santa Lucia Mountains. While it would be cool to visit this out-of-the-way spot where the grapes are grown and the cattle and sheep are raised, you can taste their wines right in the town of Carmel. Their small but comfy tasting room is all the way in the back of a small shopping plaza. You will know it by the saddles and cowpoke decor. Get the Wine Walk pass and visit all seven Carmel tasting rooms for $30.
