Admiring Ben Franklin's Larger than Life Sculpture in Philadelphia

The story of statesman Ben Franklin has always been larger than life, from inventing electricity with a kite to saving the idea of American democracy by flirting with French ladies. No other place showcases Ben Franklin at his largest better than the child-focused science museum created in his reverence, the Franklin Institute. As you walk into the large gothic building (notably located on the Ben Franklin Parkway), you can't miss the gigantic sculpture of yours truly. In its dignified home, surrounded by smooth marble floors and large rounded columns, the chatter and laughter of running schoolchildren echoes and surrounds you. Perhaps that is the way Ben would have liked it; a stately depiction of him surrounded by joviality. For a man of tall tales and half truths, nothing seems more fitting.
