Roughing It California Style at El Capitan State Park in Goleta, CA

This is "roughing it" California style. Enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific and Channel Islands from your private campsite (I'm partial to #85) at this Captain of Campgrounds. Keep an eye out for dolphins jumping at sunset, then let the sounds of the waves lull you to sleep. I recommend staying as close to the coast as possible—not only are the views better, the waves help cover the sounds of the all-too-near Highway 101.
