Living in Brand-Name Bliss at the Desert Palm in Dubai
A quick scan of your room at the Desert Palm reveals more gadgets, gloss and hi-tech trickery than you could shake a camel-stick at: Alessi, Reidel, Bang & Olufsen, Bose, Voss, Ren, Apple… the amenities list reads like a Who's Who of top-notch contemporary design. The bathroom has a top-lit free-standing bath, fashion-shoot-dreamy drapes, oodles of storage, a walk-in shower made for two and twin sinks. Best of all, it's stocked with travel-sized products by cult beauty company Ren (of Rose Ottobath-oil fame). Already, life back home seems just a little bit disappointing: until now, I didn't know I couldn't live without a bedside espresso-maker or remote-controlled blackout blinds
