Exploring Hundreds of Feet Below Budapest, Hungary
You stroll down to Nyugati tér (West Railway Station) smack dab in the middle of Budapest at your scheduled departure time. A bumpy, cheerful public bus ride out of the city takes you to the caves. After donning an attractive jumpsuit, you enter the underworld through a nondescript hobbit hole and descend hundreds of feet below the earth, with nothing but the light from your helmet to keep you from the densest of darkness. The whole group flips off their lights and sits in complete silence for a full minute in one of the stalagmite-ridden grottoes, leaving you with a humming in your ears and a new-found appreciation for electricity. Squeeze through wormholes and bound off of rocky walls until you've had your Huck Finn fix.
