Charging Your Batteries on Cushman Trail in Gig Harbor, Washington
Snaking around Gig Harbor through neighborhoods, parks, forests, and suburban streets, the Cushman Trail provides five miles of walker’s paradise. The paved trail follows the electricity lines, giving new meaning to "power walking," but (seriously now) adding a slightly industrial feel to this otherwise lovely nature path. Divided into five sections, a good place to start is at the 3908 Grandview Street trailhead, where Cushman dives into the countryside, presenting views out to the harbor, passing by Wilkinson Farm, and enticing you to follow its snaking path through the lush hillside ahead.
