Taking a Sustenance Break on the Wine Walk in Carmel, California
At some point in a four-hour walking tour of tasting rooms in Carmel Valley, you'll need to break for lunch. The Corkscrew Cafe, next to the Georis Winery, allows you to ditch the heavy picnic basket in favor of some light fare. Rehydrate with a few glass bottles of water and linger over artisanal cheese platters in the garden, decorated with empty wine bottles and vines. If it’s a bit colder, the tables inside are equally charming, with small spaces, a French feel, and a collection of corkscrews.
