Yet not too far from all of this is the Holiday Market at Bryant Park. As snow blankets the lawn and trees, market visitors stroll serenely through the rows of vendor stalls, sipping their hot chocolate. Locals sell hand-made goods and are happy to talk with those who stop in their tent, either to browse for holiday gifts or just to warm up. More than any other spot in the city, the market truly encompasses the holiday spirit. As children play in the snow, couples walk hand-in-hand and friends chat amidst the falling flakes, it becomes a small sanctuary that allows you to slow down, take a deep breath and soak it all in.
