Ruining Your Beach Body in Beach Haven, New Jersey
Now that a team of British researchers have solved that age-old riddle (the chicken came first!), we can all rest easy and wake up early to beat the crowds to the Chicken or the Egg restaurant. The Chegg, as regulars call it, has a wait at most times of day, and chances are you’ll find yourself standing in line there more than once during a visit to Long Beach Island’s sandy stretch of the Jersey Shore. Fill up in the morning with a Goshdarnwich (egg, bacon and cheese between two slices of French toast), come back for a lunch of chicken wings in one of 15 grades of hot sauce (ranging from teriyaki to ludicrous) and stop in again for late night "stoner cakes" (chocolate, peanut butter and banana pancakes). In between all of that eating, don’t forget to stretch out on the nearby beach, the reason you came to LBI in the first place (but, really, does it matter?).
