Feeding Fish on a Longtail Boat Trip on the Khlongs in Bangkok

Many visitors to Bangkok don’t see past their hotel room, but even the shortest stay can support a magical experience, without venturing far from downtown Bangkok. The Chao Phraya River runs through the city with a history and life all of its own. From many spots along the river you can hire a longtail boat to take you winding through the khlongs (canals) to see pieces of life you expect to see only in villages much further upstream. Market boats float past selling souvenirs, food and drinks. Or hand over a few baht for bread, that is lowered down to you in a bucket. Break it up and throw to enjoy some of the most frenzied up close fish feeding action you will ever see, right in the pulsing heart of Bangkok.
