Quaffing Back a Pint in a Tempe Institution, Arizona
Cheers hasn't got anything on this local watering hole. Casey Moore’s Oyster House, tucked into the funky, historic Maple Ash neighborhood, is a rare Tempe institution. Given its proximity to Enormous State University (ASU), one would expect college students to dominate this Irish pub. However, that would be wrong. The diversity of the patrons is part of the draw of the place. Theater goers, anarchists, professionals, and neighborhood activists have all claimed barstools at Casey’s for more than a couple decades – a long time in a community where redevelopment and business turnover are the order of the day. Patrons return routinely to this converted historic home for a perfect pint of Guinness, but don’t miss out on the scrumptious eats including the most delectable, fresh shrimp on the planet.
