As chilly it could have been it looked more like a good day for flying kites. Some years ago my life was in a sea resort and I did just that when not beach season. Even in the beginning of June in Kinnakeet, some days winds could be fierce and temperatures might dictate the need for jackets or sweaters for a stroll on the sandy beaches. Even so, there is a beauty in the dunes, grasses, waves and the things or creatures that might be flying. It is a rarity to have such a close up look when a bird comes as close as this beauty. Was I going to be attacked? This one got very, very close.

The wind in your hair, the salt on your skin, and the ocean on your toes. Clear skies and an endless horizon. The waves crashing are a soothing song. Nothing but surf and sand as far as the eye can see. The water is cool to the touch but beckons you in. Its breath taking, the expanse before you. You feel insignificant and yet thrilled at the majesty of it all. And at the end of the day, the sun sets, and it just fades away...
