This nostalgic wooden fruit stand, open from Christmas Day to Mother’s Day, stands smack dab in the middle of a folksy U-Pick-Em strawberry patch, serving bulging baskets of berries and homemade shakes, desserts, jams, and preserves crafted from ripe tropical fruits of the Redlands. Hop in line for a shake from grandmotherly Mary Burr, nicknamed “The Strawberry Queen” in the ‘60s. Each thick sip struggles upward through your straw as the fresh, pink-flecked goodness inches its way toward your lips.
