If Bordertown Coffee feels a little bit like home, it's because to many of its regulars, it actually is. After a narrowly avoided demolition in 2001 and almost being burnt to the ground during the 2002 hockey riots, Bordertown Coffee now stands in what was once the home of the Theta Chi fraternity. It houses nearly 20 members of Kappa Pi Alpha, who keep the non-profit coffee house open for business. The Bordertown staff whips up fresh baked goods with unique recipes everyday, which you can enjoy outside or on a sofa in front of the fireplace in the commons.
