Looking for Signs of Life in Elusive Bolinas, California
If Bolinas had a motto, “relax into it” would be it. You can find this raw and eclectic beach town hidden in the green rolling hills of Northern California on most maps, but in order to get there you have to know where you’re going. The locals, fiercely protective and proud of their community, took down the sign and even with Mapquest directions you won’t know you’re there till you see the white clapboard of Moe’s, the best dive bar north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Famous for its sunsets, the area is best enjoyed from your surfboard, a kayak, the nearby Point Reyes National Park or over oysters and wine from the balcony of the house rented off http://www.vrbo.com.
